The "no I'm not James Taylor" ad on FB caught my attention. Took a listen, love the voice, the style, the picking. Huge JT fan and saw the Troubadour reunion concert in Charlotte, NC in June, indoctrinating by 17 yr old niece. Love a lot of the Red House-type stuff. Kaplanski, Gorka, Dar Williams, and now Jeff Nich. Traveling to NC?

October 11, 2010

Jeff,

One of the best voices and music that has inspired me in so many years. You have that Crosby, Stills and Nash quality - whom I did just see in concert in Charlottesville, VA (they were fantastic!) Music is the one, true universal language that communicates to the heart so magically. Great art.

I hope you tour - possibly in Charlottesville, VA - I might get a chance to see you live. I think it would be great.

It is so cool that you do this. Congratulations! I will be sharing this on the Ski Town facebook that I made. Hope you don't mind. Take care! Pam

There was something about your music when I first heard it. This may seem strange to you, but it shares something with traditional Hawaiian music. There is something about music written by songwriters who have a connection to the land they love...

Jeff --

beautiful relaxing music and it's great that you followed through with your desire to put together a CD. I enjoyed No Train the most, the music was spot on and the lyrics hit me in several ways and the chorus is great.
Waiting for Change brought a smile. I used to play a game sitting in traffic to my commute to work: I would put the biggest smile I could make and look at every driver that I could and see if I could pass it along. People were generally shocked to see someone so happy in traffic, but it helped me by not sweating the small stuff. In the travel I've done around the world, it is always the poorest of the poor that smile the easiest -- third-world countries, but first-world people . . . generally the opposite of what we see here in the U.S. Smiles are cheap.

Hope you are writing some more in Italy and follow Another Season up with another season! Cheers

January 27, 2010

Hey Jeff, Brady and I just sat here and enjoyed your beautiful music and you do have a nice, soothing voice. I told Brady about the recordings you did long ago to benefit the animal shelter, he did not have much to say but he did listen to your voice!
I am going to order a few for gifts and for myself. All the best and hope you are enjoying Italy!!! Best, Jan, Brady and the pack.

Last night my husband and I were driving to a Jackson Browne solo acoustic concert, and were listening to some Oasis CDs that he had received in the mail over the past few years. Your song, "Slow Down", stood out among all the songs we heard. I loved it! I'll be ordering your CD very soon-thanks for the lovely music!

Lauren Whitman

September 29, 2009

Nice music! I think you do just fine dancing! Thanks for being part of an enjoyable evening on the cruise. Hope your CD sells well. I'll pass it on to some friends of mine who like this sort of music. I grew up in Western Mass. and was in a local group in '76. Can still carry a tune but that's about it. Great that you follow your passion. If you find yourself in Maine again, give a holler! I know a couple places in Hallowell that would be good venues for you to play and sell your CD. A friend of mine, Rick Dosedlo, plays in them. You can reach him at rickyd@pmginc.biz. He might be a good contact for you if you look to come this way. He's been writing and playing for a bunch of years, took it up late but is having a ball with it... Nice guy.

Anyway, thanks for the dance, nice to meet you and best wishes on your new CD!
